Beta Launching
Updated: July 19th, 2022
Our new site is now in beta testing! As we complete each new section of the website we'll be making them live.
We are opening the Lesson Share platform up to our Nagano Community to collect lessons. You can now signup and login to favorite, rank, and upload lessons. Of course you do not have to log in to search through and download lessons.
In the coming weeks we'll be making more of the new site live. The menu displays everything the full site launch will have. Any link in the menu that is fully white is active.
What else is coming
The Nagano AJET Committee is continuing to work on curating high quality informational content and resources to expand this new website for you. The topics range from teaching English to living in Nagano and everything in between. We will have descriptions and important information about every city, town, and village district in Nagano prefecture. Our information is continuing to be updated now that we have initially launched this new website to stay relevant, improved, and build onto the info we already have, to be as supportive as possible.
Some content from our old wordpress site, is temporarily not accessible while we finish the new pages. Please check again later to see the expanded content.
In addition to the rich informational pages, we are developing custom tools to assist living, teaching, and exploring in Nagano.
- Our new Lesson Share system can be used to quickly search and preview English lessons for any age group and skill level. Designed by English teachers in Nagano, this tool can help you find exactly what you need without spending too much time.
We are currently hosting a Lesson Sharing contest, so check it out the details on the Lesson Share page and share your lessons with the community to win. - Exploration – Use our interactive maps and history tools to explore each region of Nagano. Learn about the place you live and the regions around Nagano you’d like to visit.
There will be a plethora of resource tools for you, including a Daiko finder to find cost effective and safe ways to get you and your car home after drinking (with others in the community after an event or with co-workers at an Enkai) and other such locators. - We will have some basic N5 and N4 Japanese language study tools to study simple kanji and vocabulary.
We have plans to improve these study tools greatly overtime. Increasing the skills available over time from simple reading/understanding to grammar, then adding typing/writing and listening skills, to speaking. Then we’ll phase in higher Japanese levels. Our goal is to have all these tools working up to N1. Being a small non-profit, this ultimate goal will take time.
